Di Pol Popsicle

The Dipol Popsicle animation features an abstractly melting popsicle which reveals the date of the DI POL 2024 event. The popsicle was modeled, animated and rendered by me.

This version is a “Director’s Cut”, which does not highlight the date of the event, but the melting popsicle animation and its details.

Modeling the Popsicle

Using Houdini’s powerful VDB toolset, the popsicle was easily modelled and quickly resembled a realistic ice-like shape. In addition, Houdini’s procedural nature made it easy to create alternate versions with different popsicle shapes.
